This album is a musical which was performed at Elim Church, Huddersfield during Easter and is where the composer, Noel, worships. The backing tracks were done in Stourbridge by Chris Smith and Nick Burrows and features local Huddersfield singers in the cast, including Julie Brooke, who also sang on his previous album 'Awaiting The Arrival'. Including a musical introduction and ending overture, a narrator tells the story of Jesus' birth, ministry, death and resurrection in between songs, some spoken, recounting the events and emotions of the main characters. Probably not for more contemporary tastes though there are two tracks which I particularly liked, "Follow Me" sung by the performer playing Jesus and "Strange Days", a song by one of the disciples about the changes Jesus had brought to his life. A full score, script and backing tracks are available from Noel's email address if you want to give this a go in your church.
