It is often difficult to know how to pitch songs to primary school aged children as they often become oversimplified and even exercises in high kitsch. Not so this offering which presents songs originally sung in the kids groups at the New Wine national gatherings in 2014 and much of this material would not be out of place in the adult worship. A mix of lively tracks such as the soft rock "Number One" and dance number "Alive" interspersed with a version of Rend Collective's "My Lighthouse" and the piano ballad "Here I Am" emotionally sung by Susie Woodbridge. Topics covered are God's greatness in the rocky "Shine Like Stars", God's love for us as individuals in the melodic "Guardian" and the importance of trust in "Strong And Brave". The final track "You Are The Light" declares "The light will not be hidden/The world won't put it out" with an unquenchable enthusiasm that marks this compilation out as an outstanding resource for kids.

Product Description
“New Wine is a family: people from all ages and all backgrounds pursuing a lifestyle of worship together, a lifestyle of worship that sees the kingdom of God grow among his people and in his world. So often we see our children grow in their own relationship with Jesus during worship at our National Gatherings, and we hope these songs will spill into the everyday lives of children and local churches in this country.” - Neil Bennetts (Leader, New Wine Worship)
