Listeners to "Woman To Woman" on UCB europe will know Nancy Goudie as a regular contributor, while those ageing CCM buffs who remember Heartbeat in the 80's will know Nancy and her husband Ray as founder members of that pioneering outfit. These days, Nancy is much in demand as a teacher and author, and this album is a series of meditations and music on the subject of Good Friday seen through the eyes of various characters in the drama. The first five tracks are feature Nancy's voice speaking over music beds written and arranged Jon Schorah, tracks six to ten are just the music and are designed for personal meditation. powerful words and atmospheric sounds stimulate the imagination, and it's easy to picture the scenes being spoken about. I've seen or taken part in a good few musical representations of the events of Good Friday, but I've never seen or heard anything as good as this. Recommended
