Moses Kitchen have been around since 2000 and are a melodic rock band based in Basingstoke, Hampshire. They write original songs that reflect love, struggles, spirit and truth. Consisting of Bob Horne on vocals and guitars, Keith Knab on bass, Colin Andrews on drums and Rob Aldridge on guitars, the band have produced one EP in 2003 and one LP 'Breathe' in 2005 during their time together. With influences as varied as Free, U2, Coldplay, Status Quo and Bad Company, they remind me of the Housemartins with that '80s feel. So is this album worth the wait of five years? If I am honest, I think Bob's vocals are a bit weak at times and the band's sound is a bit dated, although I do like the guitars. I'd love to be more positive but I feel the CD is the product of an easy recording in a studio for their followers, friends and family.
