An independently produced R&B gospel put together largely by veteran Johnny J Blair whose solo album I love, featuring the diva vocals of Monette. I so desperately wanted this to be amazing but sadly it's just good, lacking that little extra to really arrest the attention. This is a shame because there are some good songs here although I do wish that gospel artists would give up recording their kids singing "Jesus Loves Me" or gurgling into microphones. Having said that, there are some nice moments. The sax filled "It's A Love Thing" is an absolute standout track and the title track's sultry sub-dance groove works well too. At the other extreme, "Look To The Hills" plods along with a cliched rap and other songs never really take off.
