Reviewed by Jonathan Evans The aim of this series is to help children grow big and strong in the Lord. In this particular episode, Miss Patty Cake discovers that Roy the Rabbit is sad, and together they try to find a way to get his joy back. They try hopping, fishing, getting clean in the bath, listening to the story of the boy with five loaves and two fish, learning about colours and singing a song about each one as they go. But none of this gets Roy's joy back. And then finally, they discover through singing another song, that real joy comes, not from hopping, fishing etc but from loving and praising God. I'm afraid it pretty much lived down to my expectations of this kind of video, BUT then again, I think the Teletubbies are awful, so maybe I'm not the best judge. (Or am I?!) It's aimed at one to five year olds, not as discerning an audience as older children, so maybe you could risk it. Perhaps I'm being a bit nit picky to take issue with the whole premise of the video, but I'm not sure that joy is something you find by going out and looking for it anyway. I actually think you do get a lot of joy by doing the ordinary things in life, like hopping, fishing, bathing, eating, colours, etc and that God is in them all, and not to be found only in praising!
