Michael is the worship pastor for Christ Fellowship in West Palm Beach, Florida, a fellowship which boasts 18,000 members. Anyone who has heard of Integrity's Hosanna music will know exactly what this sounds like. The liner notes describe this as a live recording but the production is slicker than an oil spill. Michael's earnest voice is a perfect match for the genre. Dayspring Baptist Church's Celebration Choir provides backing vocals plus well rehearsed spontaneous congregation noises. Michael shouts "Yes Lord!" etc in all the right places. Curiously tracks include cheesy oldie "Blessed Be The Lord God Almighty" and a cobbled reworking of "O For A Thousand Tongues" to a different tune. I don't think Mr C Wesley would be much impressed. In the main this exudes all the pleasantness you would expect, especially Miriam Webster's title track. Some will find this worship soul-stirring stuff. However, others are likely to get the impression that they've heard it all before. That will be because they have.
