Picture if you will a smoky bar in Nashville. Hot, sweaty and grooving. Once you have that image in your head then stick on Michael's 'Live' album and you'll be there. This is a well recorded live album by Texas-based guitarist Miller and gives a real sense of the guitar playing quality of the man as well as his ability to write a mighty fine blues song. Mind you, with searing blues licks on a Fender Strat backed up by the silky depth of a Hammond organ and some talented female backing vocalists what's there not to like? If you like your blues traditional and straight out of the cotton fields of the Deep South then "Not or Sale" is for you. If you are fan of Van Morrison "the "Southern Cross man" will definitely grab you as Michael has the sound of the man himself. Besides, the beautiful blend of slide guitars and Hammond would make a grown man weep. He also does a great cover of a Carlos Santana classic "Europa" proving that he is a guitarist to be reckoned with. This kind of blues offering will not be everybody's cup of tea. However; if you want to experience the kind of sound that inspired the greats such as the Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin then get yourself a copy of 'Live'.
