South Wales-based singer/songwriter Meiz's debut EP contains five tracks that speak of the Christian faith and the end result is pleasing in its own unassuming way. Proceedings get off to a competent enough start on the title track which uses the kind of mid-tempo piano-led sound that has adorned countless middle of the road songs over the years to sincerely communicate a message of hope through Jesus for the lost and lonely. Meiz alternates between slow and fast songs with more upbeat numbers like "Fit To Burst" and "One Step At A Time" providing some variety and, whilst things are kept fairly basic instrumentally, lyrically and vocally, this is a well-produced EP that doesn't pretend to be something it's not.
