Leading worship out of Hawkwell Baptist Church, Southend-on-Sea, this talented musician and songwriter puts into music and words the images and thoughts that trouble many of us at Christmas. In this MP3 track, available from iTunes, Amazon and viewable on You Tube, this songsmith - not quite angry but certainly concerned - expresses his anxiety about the way our spiritual energy is directed more towards surviving the pressures of this annual commercial festive encounter. As a quite credible first effort, the song works because it goes beyond just a simple song with a memorable tune that is well put together.
