Matt is worship leader at Reigate Baptist Church and this independent release is his first studio album. The influence of the likes of Redman and Hughes is clear; the anthemic choruses and reflective verses clearly following the latter's style. The interesting harmonic interplay between the piano and guitar grabs your attention from the upbeat opening track, "All To You", and holds it well into the first half of the album. 'Unbreakable' doesn't quite reach the heights of hard-hitting brilliance of Redman and Hughes at their best but there is still big sing-ability value here, and a good helping of original subject material can be found, especially in "Holy Fire", "Dare To Live" and the title track. The guitar tone is great throughout and the chunky riffs give the album a solid feel. The album does trail off a little towards the end, becoming a little predictable lyrically and melodically but Matt's strong voice and above average songwriting make this album worth checking out. It's a little formulaic at times perhaps, but it's a strong formula.
