Mary's Den are one of The Rimmer's favourite bands. Their previous album 'In The Everyday' got a coveted 10 squares and I can see and hear why CR's CD-hardened scribe loves 'em. The band manage to be profoundly worshipful yet follow none of the formula which come sometimes make modern pop rock praise sound like the product of a conveyer belt. Here are worship songs, seemingly developed in times of sponteneity with God. Sometimes the mood is hard and rocking, like on the surging "Free", sometimes the mood is acoustic and meditative. Both ways, this seven-track recording will find a receptive audience amongst more discerning website browsers.
