STYLE: R&B RATING OUR PRODUCT CODE: 4327-4509 LABEL: Independent FORMAT: CD Album

As I observed when we reviewed his last recording, 'Higher Ground', back in CR49, Martin Stanesby is an exceptional blue-eyed soul singer. But now the production has got tighter, the grooves have got phatter, and one or two of the hooks sound made for radio. If young tastes veer to the urban edge, this is the real deal with Martin able to duck and glide across the nimbly programmed grooves while there's some more neat touches of deftly picked guitar. Lyrically, it's in-your-face praise and exhortations to go all out for God. British R&B gospel is clearly coming of age and here's a classy release deserving wider exposure.

Just rediscovered this after nine years in my 'moving boxes' from my moms loft. Particularly enjoyed "How can we have peace".
