This five track EP represents the final release from Hull-based rock musician Mark Tiddy before putting his solo project on indefinite hiatus in favour of his new Backroom Stereo project. Released through Out Of This World Records and self-produced this offering is available to download on a name your price basis. This record gets off to a flying start with the high octane power chords of "Catch-22" and the energy remains high throughout. The production has certainly improved from Mark's previous releases with the instrumentation tight whilst retaining a raw edge which sounds at its best when racing through the powerful pop-punk of "You & Me". The strength of this record is definitely when running at full speed with attempts to ease off the accelerator on the more reflective "Eulogy" revealing weaknesses particularly in the vocals. The songs all follow the standard pop-punk formula making it largely predictable and lacking excitement. Apart from the occasional tuning issues there is nothing particularly wrong with this record but it all too often stumbles into mediocrity.
