Marilla Ness is an acquired taste and in truth not one that has been gained by too many outside the confines of the Roman Catholic Church. Yet within her field and her (older) fan base Marilla is a star and when you listen intently to her smooth voice in all its soaring purity and sweetness of tone you'll understand why. As usual with Marilla's albums, her material is covers of well known songs and here she does pleasant things with Andy Park's "Only You", John Michael Talbot's "I Am The Vine", Don Francisco's "Speak Peace To My Heart" and the Dave Bilbrough-penned title track. Down the years her productions have got less cheesy and here there are some nice Celtic flavours with David Lin's uillean pipes and Vicky Brown's violin featuring. Her fans will love it.
