It's a little surprising considering the thousands of Christian music albums this reviewer has listened to down the years that, until June 2024, I'd never heard a note of Mariette's music. But now that I have, I have to say that one track "Time To Dream" here is now a constant companion on my stereo. The dear sister possesses a remarkable voice able to sing in, I would guess, three octaves and on this set of 10 self-composed songs truly conveys her faith. She says on the sleevenote "This album is dedicated to our precious Jesus... All the songs were downloads from Heaven... I pray that this album will draw you closer to Him and that you will experience His love on a deeper level" and she succeeds. Thanks to the intuitive work of two of British Christian music's most talented stalwarts, Neil Costello (production and guitars) and Mark Edwards (piano and programming) this album, which nimbly straddles the classifications... is it pop, is it ambient, is it MOR/inspirational?... is recommended to anyone who wants an anointed sister with a beautiful soprano voice leading them into the presence of the Lord.
