Lori is a US-based singer/songwriter and this is her third album, although the first, it seems, to have gone on general release. Her sound is heavily reliant on synthesizers, so from the get-go this will either be a turn on or send you running a mile. I'm sorry to say that this reviewer found 'Love' extremely hard work. Lori's voice is tuneful but brash, reminding me of Kate Bush in parts. She provides her own additional vocals, which often clash in the mix. Thematically, the songs meet the title's claim - Lori herself says on her website, "There are basically three kinds of love - the kind for your family, the kind for someone you date and the kind for God. The songs on this disc are about all three kinds." Lori also seems to feel a need to describe the "style" of the song, perhaps influenced by the settings on her keyboard. So opening track "Heaven Rising" is "vocal electronica inspirational pop" - it's a tough start because the song seems to lack any structure and rambles on at over five minutes. "Acoustic power ballad" "What I Wanted To Say" is unfathomable, while "synth classic inspirational pop" "Let It Go" took me back to listening to my Dance Mania 94 CDs. I cannot recommend this CD in any way.

Just to clarify...my CD is not a "dance/electronica" disc at all--kind of wondering why you put it in this category? It's pop. Song descriptions were provided for radio DJs, since there are many styles on it.
