Surprising to see Kingsway's move into traditional gospel choir territory - though I suspect they'll have to find better music than this to clock up many more sales. This New York team do all the things you'd expect with the genre, they are egged on by an enthusiastic congregation at The Little Zion Church of God In Christ, and everything is tight and superficially soulful. But there are no melodies which stick in the mind, one or two of the lead singers are the wrong side of flat (Lydia Gunn on the title track) and most of the lyrics sound like they were written on the back of an envelope during rehearsals so cliched are they. If you're a brand new Christian who wants a reasonably authentic collection of black church praise ups to accompany your hoovering, this might do. But for the gospel veteran this is Dull City.
