Well, I for one am glad to see worship that is culturally relevant really beginning to expand. A lot has been said about rave and rock worship for youth cultures of the USA and UK and while there is no doubt that these experiments have been used with great success, one can't help wonder if we continue to fragment our worshipping community rather than cement it. Liz Pass has used some great African music to bring a fine album of simple but effective praise and worship songs. I must admit that the opening track sounded a little too English for an African worship album but as soon as track two roared into action, those wonderful, vibrant African voices and rhythms had me right where they wanted me. You're gonna have to make the effort to send for this, which is a shame considering that this is miles better than most of the plethora of praise product pumped out in your local bookshop.
