This is the seventh album, released in 2008, by a church minister of music from Maryland, USA. Linda plays piano and organ and directs two choirs in her home church and ministers not just in churches but also in retirement communities and bookshops. The CD showcases her as a pianist, unaccompanied by voice or any other instrument. The song selections here include traditional hymns, spirituals and modern worship songs, often weaving these ingredients together as in "How Great Is Our God/How Great Thou Art". To the modern hymn reworking "Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)" she adds themes from Wesley's "And Can It Be". As a departure from the more Church-based music, Linda also covers "The Prayer" a song made famous by Celine Dion and Andrea Bocceli. It's nicely done, but restricting the recording to piano only limits the opportunity for any great variety.
