Laura-Anne (Collins) is a new singer/songwriter fresh from the Queen's University, Belfast. Her day job is as a rather talented website designer; but her training is as a musician and she feels a call to develop a music ministry. The six tracks here are all self-penned and are technically assured and interesting to listen to. The live track, "Who I Am", shows off all the good things about Laura-Anne's voice - its purity of tone, accuracy and flexibility. Stylistically, the songs are balladry brought up to date with strong influences from, among others, Sixpence None The Richer. I don't hear potential for stardom in this artist, but I do hear ministry potential and a passion for music.
