This rock is heavy with lyrics virtually shouted over the thumping track that is except for track six, which is surprisingly gentle. The music might be a bit stark but it's well worth following the lyrics on the sleeve, as they reveal the band's poetic skills. The lyrical content is not as aggressive as the tone of voice used. In fact, the themes include the love of God, his grace and how Jesus sacrificed more than we could ever know on the cross. When God is described as "a ruling master with an iron hand" it is as a misunderstanding of the nature of God and when a prostitute is described on the curb it is not to condemn her but instead to ask us "Do we care?" and exhort us to help those more unfortunate than ourselves. If you like heavy rock with some thought provoking lyrics then this is for you.
