Kimberly is an attractive singer based in Baton Rouge, Alabama. She's been singing all her life and has come up with her debut solo recording, on which she wrote all the songs bar one. 'Set The Tone' offers a batch of praise and inspirational numbers with a light jazz/gospel vibe. Most songs are mid or slow-paced with lyrics reflecting a deep personal faith while Kimberly has assembled a fine backing team (piano, guitar, drums and backing vocals). Having said all that, I'm not sure I'm very taken with Kimberly's vocals with phrasing that lacks finesse and even becoming slightly irritating after a while.
