This triple disc set sees 50 of the most popular Kids' Praise! Company songs packaged together in what the sleevenotes state is a "cohesive worship set for kids, by kids". Unfortunately, this mission statement doesn't quite ring true as not all songs featured here are sung by children - no bad thing given the saccharine nature of those that are - and the fact that this release largely lacks cohesion due to an attempt to appeal to as wide an age range as possible. For example, adult performances of worship standards "How Great Is Our God" and "Blessed Be Your Name" sit somewhat awkwardly next to Sunday school favourites like "Father Abraham" and "Zaccheus Was A Wee Little Man". Elsewhere, compiled-to-death numbers like "Give Me Oil In My Lamp", "This Little Light Of Mine" and "Jesus Loves Me" make a predictable appearance and their seemingly obligatory inclusion adds little value to the world of Christian music for children. Nonetheless, this is undoubtedly God-centred stuff that aims to ground little ones in the Christian faith and the last disc boasts better quality material than the remainder of this faltering release.
