A gospel singer/songwriter from Camden, New Jersey together with his aggregation G O (God's Own) deliver their debut album that also features Kelly Lynn's mentor, the legendary one time member of the Caravans, Dorothy Norwood. The songs here skillfully blend traditional gospel sounds with more contemporary, R&B-tinged colourings. It is a pleasure to listen to Kelly's clear and rich voice delivering the songs sincerely and enthusiastically. The music is catchy and the lyrics of these songs are inspiring, uplifting and encouraging though without breaking any fresh ground. I particularly liked "Heart Of Camden" which looks to something good coming out of the city despite its reputation for crime and poverty.
