A beautifully produced, gentle, soothing and inspirational CD that breathes new life into worship songs old and new. Alongside the veteran British pianist are flute (Clare Langan), oboe/cor anglais (Christine Swain), violin (Jennifer Thorn) and cello (Robin Thmpson-Clarke) and together they produce 14 tracks where the modern classic "In Christ Alone" stands alongside the '70s standard "Freely, Freely". Talking of '70s standards, several more appear among the further 15 tracks on the bonus CD included in the package including "Seek Ye First" and "A New Commandment". Somehow Keith Routledge and friends manage to make them sound as if they were written yesterday. Worth buying for that alone.
