Irish worship leader Kathryn Scott, who rose to prominence for her contributions to the Vineyard UK albums and is best known for authoring the title track to the 'Hungry' CD, appears here with her second solo album (a '99 disc was released under her maiden name of Kathryn Rainey). Recorded live in Portstewart, Scott's deft songwriting and gutsy, emotive vocals ensure that this showpiece comes over very much in the vein of those previous Vineyard UK classics, if not quite as loud and racy. So if you're looking for some rousing praise anthems you'll find them here - "Heaven Is Our Home", "You're Good, Lord" and especially "Blessed Be Your Name" are all punchy, memorable and highly infectious ditties. Delightful stuff. "Hungry" is delivered with some restraint, while "I Can Only Imagine" - now a highly popular cover - is given a catchy rendition, though not matching MercyMe's striking original. Along the line appears a stream of tender, acoustic ballads where Kathryn opens her heart and bares all - melodic, intimate gems such as the transparent "Search Me, Know Me" and the Christ-focused "At The Foot Of The Cross". Throwing in an oldie, "When I Survey" is sensitively delivered before the album closes on a high, with co-producer Brian Doerksen joining in on the edgy committal of "Today (As For Me And My House)" - superb. Simple yet powerful, there's not a single duff track on this 12-song recording. 'Satisfy' is worshipful beauty all the way.
