Kate is of course a well known worship leader best known for her work with the Stoneleigh musicians. First, my disappointments. I expected to hear more solo vocal from Kate. What I heard suggested a good, but not great voice. Also, I'm not sure I like unison/close harmony singing all the time. I believe the choir would be capable of more complex harmony. But what does come across is great musicianship, especially from the band and the choir (all of whom are credited), and a good atmosphere (it's a live recording). Several of the songs, laid out as prose, are by Kate. They are singable, but I'm not sure that they are memorable. That said, 'Redemption Songs' is worth investigating if you like the live worship genre.
