Seeing the title of this five-song EP, and reading in his biography that he had attended a singing workshop organised by LGCG, I had expected something akin to Larnelle or BeBe Winans, but it ain't like that at all. Kashy (his name, I'm told, means 'the soul' in Persian) gives us piano-driven balladry (except for the title track, which has a much more poppy feel), and shows sufficient promise for me to want to revisit his music a few years down the line, because given the probable budget, this is not a bad effort.
