Some of the classiest yet most neglected music of the past 15 years or so has come from this California songstress, now domiciled with Y.W.A.M. in Holland. Karen's globetrotting adds a refreshing world view and missionary zeal to her compositions, and her smooth contemporary folk style has been equalled by perhaps only HoneyTree. "Land Of No Goodbyes" is a set with the depth and strength we expect from Karen, mostly recorded in the U.S.A. with 'Californian expertise and professionalism. Highlights? Well for starters we have two of Karen's best ever songs, the poignant "Christmas In Amsterdam" and the yearning "Asia". Here's virtually unrivalled Christian writing, highly poetic, touching, and supremely crafted. "Tante Corrie", is a very special birthday tribute to the Dutch heroine Corrie Ten Boom, and "I Have You In My Heart" succinctly portrays the joy of warm relationships in the Body of Christ. In all, another timeless set of sparkling songs from a leading light in effective ministry through music. An offering of the highest quality.
