I must admit, I enjoyed a “good ole singalong” to these instrumentals, some of which I have not heard for years! Full lyrics are included – so there are no excuses! Some of my favourites are “As The Deer Pants”, “Jesus We Enthrone You” and “Majesty”. Yes – don’t worry, “Shine Jesus Shine” makes an appearance, along with a few other Kendrick songs. If you are looking for something more up to date the nearest you will find is Matt Redman’s “Jesus Christ (Once Again)”. Although pleasant enough, this never really takes off and the pace could do with being cranked up a notch. As this is “Favourite Worship Songs 1’ you can, I suppose, expect Kevin Mayhew to churn out several similar volumes in the near future.
