English concert organist John Scott is recognised not only as one of his country's finest organists and musical leaders, but as one of the most gifted of his generation of concert organists in the performance world today. This highly visible musician is heard by countless visitors year-round at St Paul's Cathedral in London. If you are a lover of organ music I apologise - but it does absolutely nothing for me! My initial thought when hearing this album for the first time was 'scary'! The atmosphere reminds me of what would happen if you mixed the Phantom of the Opera with the Hunchback of Notre Dame - very spooky! However, there are a variety of classic pieces performed here by the world renowned organist John Scott. These include Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor, Mozart's Fantasia in F minor and Samuel Wesley's Air and Gavotte. If organ music is your thing then this could be for you. Personally, I found this a very oppressive and not at all spiritually uplifting experience.
