This single has turned out to be a surprise Christian radio hit in the US - a surprise because most Christian radio stations play very, very little rap music and it took the unlikely entrance of the hugely popular (in America) Christian comedian John Crist into hip-hop to get past the prejudices of the radio gatekeepers. Based on a John Crist catchphrase, this is mildly amusing and rhythmically engaging. And for a Christian comedy hip-hop track, it's pioneering something pretty fresh. Here's hoping Britain's Edi Johnston, one-time rapper with Psalmistry, gets to hear this. He could make a much funnier single.
