Leading worship since the age of 16, Manchester's Joe Brady has developed his songwriting craft and this is his first EP release. The title track with its driving drums and electro beats draws in the listener with simple yet truthful lyrics about all that was accomplished on the cross. "One Day" threw me back to the '80s disco era with the electric guitar riffs that accompany lyrics of surrender and declarations of truth such as, ".your word breathes new life into these bones/I'm running after life." Similar in style to other UK artists like Ian Yates and Simon Brading, Brady also has a splash of Hillsong influencing his sound. He ends the EP with "King Forever" which is layered with a heavy rock/pop sound interlaced with beautiful moments of near stillness in comparison. Brady's work is also strengthened by a great production team who have produced a tight and clear-sounding record. Altogether, there is a solid flow throughout the five track collection, constantly keeping the listener in a state of upbeat worship.
