Jo Tilley is the worship leader at Newark Baptist Church and this six track EP is her first recording. These are songs that she's written for congregational worship in her home church and on this CD she is backed by musicians from her worship team. Recorded on a budget, its stripped down sound is acoustic driven and although she is clearly a gifted songwriter and no doubt an effective worship group leader, the weakness of this album is sadly in Jo's vocals. On a faster song like "Sorted", she can just about get away with it but for some of the slower stuff, it's a little more obvious. Could be that this was recorded too quickly to really concentrate on the vocal performances. In a live context this wouldn't be a problem but sadly the deficiency is glaringly obvious on these songs.
