There are obvious spiritual references throughout but they are more subtle and pitched at a wider audience. This lady has obviously made a name for herself in her locality even playing at the Edinburgh Fringe and has had rave reviews including the Sunday Mail who gave a glowing report of this album. This album is also funded by the Scottish Arts Council and the diversity of different instruments is another plus point. How about a kalimba, flute, glockenspiel, e-bow, cello, violin, accordion alongside guitars, etc? This is the kind of album you can chill out to with its easy, laid back style. Apparently Island Records and Polydor have knocked on Jo's door, however she retains her independence which is perhaps a wiser move. I'm sure that if Jo keeps God at the centre then the future looks bright for her, however I just can't get into it myself but if your tastes are eclectic then definitely check Jo out.
