Let's face it, most albums focussed on romantic love are decidedly one-dimensional, making unrealistic statements of eternal commitment often interspersed with songs of bitter recriminations when the relationship goes wrong. Christian neo-soul singer and counsellor to abused women, Jeff Murrell offers something very different, a concept album which through a set of creamily soulful songs takes the listener on a journey from the first flush of romantic engagement ("Beautiful" featuring a rap from AO), the hopes and dreams of young ladies, the problems encountered ("Interference" featuring J Wright Middleton) and through to brokenness and healing. Jeff has an exceptionally soulful tenor able to glide sinuously over the mid tempo and slow songs presented here while the production by Herb Middleton is mellow and slinky. After a while the spoken interludes in between several tracks might get a tad wearing but as a soul singer with a passion to see relationships developing on God's lines, Jeff deserves the church's support.

I soo agree! Where we, as women are a large majority without the proper authority in real love...God's love! Thus, soo lost in our perceptions and acceptance of that which is thought to be love. No greater love than God's love! The lyrics, like no other! In any country! Im proud that a brotha in Christ has taken the step up to this level of ministry! I am blessed!
