This is the debut album from a Sweden-born, USA-based singer whose brother Jonathan Thulin is also making headway in the crowded US scene. Jeanette resides in California with her husband where she currently works as Worship Arts Director at Harvest Church. Her first single, "Story", has already made an impact on TV and has aired on the MTV's Hills several times. Fans of Natasha Bedingfield will love "This Addiction", an R&B, hip-hop mash up reinforced with a male vocal applying some much needed attitude. Delivered with such aplomb, possibly Claesson should venture into this style more often as her vocal delivery and range is impressive. The honesty of "Your Grace Covers My Mess" with the ringing chorus, "Your grace covers my sin" shows a commendable vulnerability. A real cracker is the piano-led ballad "Child Of God", again with the fusion of a male/female vocal, capturing the intimacy. The gospel item "Never Look Back" shows another facet of Jeanette's writing, however I feel this is where the album becomes unhinged as Jeanette seems unsure as to which style to focus on.
