17 tracks of superb, live solo performances given by Janet Paschal at the Homecoming concert series are interspersed here with an interview with her conducted by Bill Gaither, music producer and leader of the Gaither Vocal Band and the person largely responsible for bringing the talents of Janet Paschal to a wider audience. The interview itself is rather formally staged and contains few insights into the person of Paschal, but the DVD is definitely worth buying for the musical performances alone. Paschal has a magnificent voice of depth, subtlety and clarity and an ability to deliver a song in a straightforward manner that allows the lyric and meaning of the song to speak loudly for itself. She is as comfortable with up-tempo crowd-pleasers as she is with quieter and more intimate songs, and praise and worship as she is with a ballad and there is an excellent mixture of all these contained here. The complete DVD running time as roughly 100 minutes and is an up-lifting experience featuring an artist with huge talent.
