Jammie Jolly has been around the gospel and R&B scene for many years both singing and producing. His latest three-song EP is a mix of both genres resulting in smooth grooves with strong and clear gospel lyrics. The production is good and the songs well written and arranged: the title track opener with its Rhodes piano, strings and strong bass line underlining the double tracked vocals, the acoustic piano and Hammond organ of "Lord I'm Waiting" and the more pop orientated closing track "Do You Know". Unfortunately the bar is very high in the gospel and R&B fields and, while these tracks are good, the sparkle that denotes a standout sound is missing here.
