J-Tru Solder4Christ is a rapper from Denver, Colorado and this track tells of the artist's intent to fight for Christ until he dies in typically direct hip-hop fashion. Set to an ominously heavy musical backdrop, J-Tru lives up to the other part of his name by declaring that he'll be "reppin' Jesus till I see the cemetery" whilst guest Texan hip-hop artist 5ive makes an appearance to further push the militant point home. Whilst both are definitely directing their righteous ire against Lucifer and his spiritual realm, references to beheading cobras and giants, marching for Jesus, saluting comrades and being willing to die for the cause may give unknowing folks an impression of fundamentalism. Nonetheless, this is a skilfully-delivered piece of Christian hip-hop which doesn't pull any punches.
