Britain's dreadlocked soul singer here comes up with his best, and most commercial, song. A clever idea, a skint songwriter writes a song to a young lady, who he's a bit shy to speak to, with the hook "maybe you can sing it with me". The accompanying video expands the idea, a deejay playing his cassette on the radio (do deejays still play cassettes?). A brilliant piece of catchy romantic pop from one of the mainstream's most underrated talents.
