J-Flo joins the growing number of Christian hip-hop artists coming out of Houston, Texas where he works with young people. A standout track on the rapper's debut is the uplifting "I'm Free", a bouncing party track over a house beat where J-Flo rides smoothly as he celebrates his freedom in Christ and that there is no more guilt and shame. J-Flo is hearteningly honest on "Watching The Gates" announcing his intention to take his eyes and ears off harmful and lustful influences. There's no doubting his heart as the MC expresses his ministry motivation on "That's Why" ("This world needs Jesus"). Beat-wise, there's a range of breaks from dirty south ("Still Broke" and "Let's Grow" ft I.M.A.G.E.) to some rollers like the worshipful "Under Construction". J-Flo has a clear and polished flow that matches each beat nicely.
