South African singer/songwriter Isak Bosman shines in his newly released first album. 'You're The One' was produced in Motherwell, Scotland by Sandy Jones and Graham Duffin (Wet Wet Wet) and Bosman certainly delivers. Bosman is clearly a worship leader with an intuitive grasp of catchy hooks and aided by multi-textured accompaniments the listener is soon connecting with the songsmith. 'You're The One' starts particularly well with the upbeat "You Are God" which immediately grabs the listener and "Giving It All" proves to be another highlight. A cover of the popular Matt Redman song "Let My Words Be Few" could have been a mistake but Isak gives it a fresh reading and equally on Steve Hindalong's "God Of Wonders" Bosman produces a fresh new sound through his interpretation. Equally impressive are Bosman's own songs like "I Will Worship" and "You're The One". This was an excellent album which exudes joyful worship. I for one will wait in anticipation to hear Bosman's future work.
