You may not have heard of InSalvation if you don't live in the Netherlands, but they're a worship team with more than a bit of EDM about their sound who are picking up a lot of supporters in their homeland. Calling on Britain's always reliable Trevor Michael to produce this, their second album, was a good move and songs like the title track will definitely get you moving and worshipping even if Bible purists might point out that the word of God doesn't make any reference to Jesus' neon light. I liked the switch lead vocals on the surging anthem "God Who Saves", while the female fronted "Fix My Eyes On You" is a mid-tempo song with an effecting vocal which would get an auditorium anywhere worshipping if they ever got to hear it. Truth is though, there isn't a song here that is quite up there with the best of Hillsong Young & Free. But no matter, 'Neon' is an encouraging sign that the Dutch church too is moving forward in finding youth relevant ways of worshipping God.
