This four-song EP demonstrates excellent musicianship and clearly Stuart Trotman is one of the best keyboard players on the grassroots scene. Unfortunately, despite the fluid piano runs on "Shabach" the chanted vocal line of "Shabach, hallelujah, praise the Lord" hardly makes for a memorable hook. It's interesting to hear what this talented foursome do with old praise and worship songs like "Shout To The Lord" and "I Want To Be Where You Are" (I liked Alvin Davis' sax work on the former). With more studio time and focused production this group could make a great album. In the meantime, if you like the idea of jazz funk pop with a Gospel message check this out.
