Reviewed by Stella Redburn 10 tracks of good-time reggae and Afro beat sounds, with unashamed Bible-based lyrics from a UK-based singer. Nigerian-born, UK-based gospel singer and preacher/evangelist Ikeh's attractive voice is solidly backed by a layered texture of sound. Although no musicians are credited, I enjoyed the musical arrangements for flutes, brass, vocal backing, etc. The project was produced by Joel Ezeji. Ikeh says that he uses a "mixed genre of reggae, hip-hop, Afro beat and highlife." Certainly the happy vibe is of a place far away from London, where the video for the first track "Save Me Most High God" was filmed. I loved the calypso-style tracks, like "My Redeemer Liveth" and "Come And See"; songs of encouragement, bearing out Ikeh's claim that they are "testimonies of God's saving grace upon my life and serve as an encouragement to listeners". The more relaxed, softer tracks, like "You Made Me" and "Thank You Jesus" provide a comforting, almost hypnotic sound and these simple, accessible tunes work well with the laid-back arrangements.
