A lot of people will find it difficult to understand that few modern worship tracks find their way to the main Cross Rhythms playlist but in truth much that is released doesn't sound quite right on a station like CR, listened to by both a Christian and non-Christian pop/rock/urban audience. "Belly Of The Beast" DOES sound like something you might hear on a Top 40-style radio station. A throbbing bass riff, an explosion of rock guitars and lyrics which bite home ("Can someone wake me from the sleep/I'm in the belly of the beast"). Liverpool's premier songwriter (move over McCartney) lands another winner.
