I Am Jen, otherwise known as Jen Scaturro, has been slowly raising the eyebrows of many big names for a long time, spending time sharing her talents with other artists in the pop world, as well as creating media for advertising, film, TV and the internet. However I Am Jen has now stepped into the lime-light and released this self-made, four track EP which has quickly grabbed international interest. I Am Jen has been seen to rally support from the BBC, MTV and HBO as well as the late John Peel of Radio One, not to mention the fast growing support of fans from across the world. Often compared to the sounds of Massive Attack and the vocals of Bjork, this EP mixes new and experimental electronic sounds with what has been described as very hooky synth lines and electronic beats. This exciting songwriting and cleverly processed vocals makes for a very uplifting sound. The most impressive aspect of this EP is the wide variety of instruments used to create a type of music that is fairly difficult to categorise. Whilst there are only four tracks on this EP each song still stands unique and different from the rest. With a very interesting and excitable "Broken In All The Right Places" to the more contemplative steady "At The Same Time". I am confident we will hear more from Jen Scaturro.
