This Minneapolis-based pop rock band are winning plenty of fans stateside. Signed to Tooth & Nail, Hyland play in the same vein as Foo Fighters, Jimmy Eat World and Anberlin. Produced by Aaron Sprinkle (my, my, that guy is busy!), the outlook of the album is positive and lyrically they cover faith and life from a Christ-centered perspective. The album title comes from the fact that society is always measuring and comparing us to each other and this is Hyland's response. "This Love Is Free" is a really good song and reminds us that God's love is free. If you listen to "The One That Got Away" and it sounds similar to Anberlin then that's because Stephen Christian of the aforementioned band helped out on the track. The song is about a girl who thinks she can mess around with a guy's feelings but he turns it on its head by saying he is the one that got away. The acoustic "Coast To Coast" is excellent and then the band rock harder on "Fireworks". To be honest you get 12 songs and no duds. The more I listen to this album the more I like it.
